Two high mountain passes await on this trek. The most notable is Thorung La Pass, standing at 5,416 meters. Crossing these challenges rewards you with breathtaking views of the Himalayan giants. The panorama stretches across snow-capped peaks and glacial valleys, offering a truly immersive mountain experience.
This route offers more than just scenic views. It immerses you in the landscape and local culture. Engage directly with mountain communities along the way. Learn about their traditional lifestyles firsthand. Form genuine connections with locals, gaining insights rarely experienced by typical tourists. This trek provides an authentic glimpse into Nepal's hidden cultural treasures.

Conquering the High Altitude
of the Annapurna Range
The Annapurna Trek involves significant altitude variation which can challenge even the seasoned trekker. Starting amidst the warmth where bamboo flourishes, the trail ascends gradually as you veer towards the Nar Phu Valley.
Ascending to elevations of 4,000 meters, the path also presents the opportunity for an optional hike reaching up to 4,900 meters at Himlung Himal Base Camp.
Subsequently, you'll experience a moderate descent before approaching the Kanga La Pass at 5,320 meters. This part of the journey is an ideal acclimatisation for the subsequent Thorung La Pass crossing.
Our itinerary is thoughtfully crafted to ensure you savour the trek's highlights while your body gently adapts to the higher elevations.
When is the best time for the Annapurna Trek
This Himalayan journey offers its best experiences during two distinct seasons: spring and autumn.
Spring (March to May) brings blooming rhododendrons to many parts of the trek, though these are less common in the Nar Phu region. This season offers vibrant landscapes and comfortable temperatures.
Autumn (September to November) is equally appealing. Post-monsoon rains clear the air, revealing breathtaking mountain vistas. The crisp, clear weather enhances visibility, making it ideal for photography and long-distance vistas.
Winter trekking presents significant challenges. Cold temperatures and heavy snowfall often render high passes inaccessible. The risk of avalanches increases during this time, making it less suitable for most trekkers.
We recommend planning your trek during spring or autumn for the most rewarding and safe experience. These seasons allow you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty and cultural richness of this mountain range.
